Join us, join our cause

As a member, you can visit as often you like and each time you do you’ll see the difference you’re making. So, as you dig out your binoculars and head out to enjoy the colours and sights of the season, remember that you are helping protect and restore wetlands for generations to come.

How you’ll be helping

As a charity, funds from membership are one of the ways we carry out crucial projects and right now we’re working hard to keep our habitats in perfect condition ready for the return of wintering birds, such as swans, geese and golden plover.

Membership also supports our work all year round by protecting species that have fallen victim to habitat destruction and ensuring we can continue essential campaigns against climate change, water pollution and biodiversity loss.

Membership helps keeps wetlands and species safe.

Millions of waterbirds saved when we helped persuade MEPs to end the use of lead shot in EU wetlands

Over 50 more natural flood management features were installed during 2020, slowing water downstream

49 pairs of red-listed breeding black-tailed godwits were recorded across the fens in 2020, another increase
